Scouting For Girls are planning a loose concept to run through their next record.
Scouting For Girls are planning their next record to be a concept album.
The 'She's So Lovely' rockers have started working on their third album and frontman Roy Stride is planning to have a concept running through it.
He told BANG Showbiz: "We're thinking about having a loose concept to the next album - I'm not sure exactly how it will work, but we have a song called 'It Only Rains in LA', which we actually kept back for the third album.
"It's about a girl who takes a job in Los Angeles and her boyfriend doesn't want her to go, so he makes up this lie that it always rains in LA.
"So it may be about him going off to see her. I've always liked themes like unrequited love and lost lovers. I'm not completely sure how it would work yet. We're still working on it. It could be s**t, we'll see."
The band are also planning on getting their next album ready quickly and hoping to release it for next year.
Roy added: "When you get to your third album you need to give people a reason to listen to it and I just thought why not, so we'll just have to see, it could be a really bad idea. We're hoping to record it at the end of this year and get it out next year."
While fans are waiting for the band's next record, the are releasing a bonus edition of their second album, 'Everybody Wants to be on TV', with four new tracks on July 18, preceded by new single 'Love How It Hurts' on July 10.
