Natalie Dormer was bullied ''for having a snubby nose.''

The 'Game of Thrones' actress says she has always had ''big nostrils'' and thinks she bares a striking resemblance to Kermit the Frog's new girlfriend Denise.

Asked about being compared to the Muppet on Twitter, the 33-year-old star told fans during a Q&A at New York Comic-Con: ''When I saw Kermit's new girlfriend, I was like 'Maybe I'm a bit responsible for that.'

''I used to get told I had pig nostrils. I've got big nostrils, my whole family does. It's a burden we bear.''

The British beauty asked the creators of the HBO series to make reference to her ''piggy nose'' during a scene from season three of the show, in which her character, Margaery Tyrell, is walking along the cliffs with Sansa.

She said: ''I phoned David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss], it's the only time I've ever asked them to put in a line, 'Please, can you put in a line about a piggy nose?' Because I was bullied at school.

''I said for my own demons, it would be like sticking two middle fingers up to the bullies of my childhood if Margaery is joking about it. If you watch the DVDs back, you'll see me doing a pig noise.

''I brought up the pig subject in the first place...I've already made the comparison of my nostrils to a pig, so I can't really argue about it.''
