Mel B has jokingly threatened to "remove her mother from her property" after she took over the DIY duties in what was not initially meant to be a "competition" between the pair.
Mel B jokingly threatened to "remove her mother from her property" after she took over the DIY duties.
The 49-year-old pop star posted a series of video clips to her social media page on Saturday (24.04.24), in which her mother Andrea was seen redecorating the walls and was then outside doing up the garden, with the Spice Girls singer deeming that she had taken thongs "too far" by that point.
She captioned an Instagram Story: "I'm going to have to remove my mother from my property. It's going too far now, ffs!"
Earlier in the afternoon, the 'I Want You Back' hitmaker explained to her followers that her mother had come round to help her with the domestic tasks and seemed to have gone back on her word when she initially claimed it wouldn't be a "competition" between the pair.
Mel wrote: "This is what happens when you come and ask your mother to come help do some DIY paper stripping. Mother [said] 'It's not a competition, it's meant to be you and me doing this TOGETHER!'
But Mel did little more than call out to her mother as she claimed that she had rushed off ahead of her and after Andrea completed the lion's share of the handiwork, Scary simply asked if it had all been "satisfying" as she and her pet pooch "chilled" together out of the way of the action.
She said: "My mother won't wait for me, she's already started my front room! So, we, my mother, not me, has done one and a half walls while Cookie sits and chills.
"Is it satisfying mother? Put some gloves on! We now only have one wall to do."
