No huge Instagram reveals for the Herefordshire-born singer, 31, as her family placed a notification in The Times’ Births, Deaths and Marriages section on Tuesday morning (August 7th). It would have been perfectly easy to miss it, as Ellie is referred to as “Miss E.J. Goulding” and “Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Herefordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands”.

Unless you move in Northern English high society circles, however, you’re unlikely to have heard of Ellie’s new fiancé. So, here’s a very brief profile to answer the question: Casper Jopling, who he?

The second annual BBC Music Awards will play host to an impressive list of performers at the end of the year, with One Direction, Ellie Goulding, Little Mix and Mumford & Sons among the confirmed acts.

The ceremony, which is being held at Birmingham’s Genting Arena on December 10th, is in its second year after the inaugural awards were held in 2014 at London’s Earl’s Court. Just like last year, the evening will be hosted by Fearne Cotton and Chris Evans and broadcast on BBC One, and the radio stations 1 and 2. More than 10,000 tickets are currently on sale to members of the public.

Ellie Goulding has announced the startling news that she’s been coping with a heart condition in secret for over a year.

The 28 year old British star was accused of lip-syncing her performance at the AFL final in Melbourne, Australia last month, and earlier this week responded cryptically that she had bigger things to worry about.

The ‘Love Me Like You Do’ singer, who is releasing her new album Delirium in November, told MailOnline: “I found out I have this heart thing and I need to get it checked out. I’m fine, it’s actually something someone discovered last year but I never got it checked out. Which is terrible, I have been playing with my life.”

Ellie Goulding has revealed details of her new studio album Delirium, sharing some pretty revealing shots of the album’s artwork and announcing the stream of its first single ‘On My Mind’ at the same time.

The British singer-songwriter will be releasing her third album on November 6th through Polydor Records. It’s the follow-up to her 2012 album Halcyon, and has seen Goulding team up with a number of collaborators to bring it to life, including songwriters and producers such as Max Martin, Greg Kurstin, Onerepublic’s Ryan Tedder and Disclosure’s Guy Lawrence.
