Duffy (born Aimee Anne Duffy; June 23, 1984) is a Welsh singer-songwriter best known for her debut album, Rockferry (2008), which achieved critical and commercial success. With a distinctive retro-inspired sound, Duffy became the first Welsh female artist in 25 years to achieve a UK number-one single, cementing her place as a significant figure in contemporary soul and pop music.
