Chantelle Houghton broke down in tears during an appearance on This Morning today. The reality star mother-of-one turned away from the camera and began to sob after seeing a clip of ex-boyfriend Alex Reid and herself admitting that they were in love.

The pair had appeared on the show last August, though things have since have gone downhill. Clearly distressed throughout the interview, Chantelle attempted to explain what caused the breakdown of her relationship, though mumbled, "I was pregnant and there was stuff going on, and there was a massive build-up and there were final nails in the coffin and there isn't any going back now.There's things about Alex that I didn't know when I first met him and he wasn't the person that I met, he didn't turn into the person I met at the beginning, he was a different person." The former Big Brother star was passed a tissue by host Ruth Langsford, though the tears continued as she admitted, "I was happy, I was really really happy, it was everything I wanted, especially when I found out I was pregnant."

The couple split last month, shortly after Alex had been arrested at the home they used to share in Brentwood, Essex.
