It was Coldplay's Ghost Stories that held onto the top spot for a second consecutive week, selling 83,000 to take overall sales to over 460,000. It makes it the sixth-largest-selling album of 2014, with the Frozen soundtrack way ahead with 2.5 million, according to Billboard.

Jennifer Lawrence and pop group One Direction were among the big winners at the 27th annual Kids' Choice Awards at the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles. Selena Gomez, Robert Downey Jr and Ariana Grande were also honored at Nickelodeon's annual awards show, at which 'unslimable' host Mark Wahlberg met his match.

All five people who were holding their breath for this one can stop now – Austin Mahone is not dating Selena Gomez. The 17-year-old pop star said so himself for People on Wednesday, dispelling rampant dating rumors, which were definitely not started to boost anyone’s public profile. Not at all.

Theyre not dating, says Austin Mahone. Not even the tiniest bit. 

"We're just friends, Mahone told the magazine. "She's really cool. I mean, I think she's really pretty but every time I'm in L.A., she's like 'Hey you're in L.A., lets hang out."

Selena Gomez just isn’t having a great holiday season. At last Friday's KIIS FM Jingle Ball, Gomez was forced to end her set early due to sound problems, which left her frustrated and storming offstage by the end of her performance. Selena had to struggle through her first song, “Undercover”, with the help of a backing track and at one point could be seen mouthing “What the f**k!?” Rolling Stone reports. Despite announcing a couple more songs to come, Gomez only managed to get through her Stars Dance hit “Come and Get It,” before she left the stage.

Gomez did her best at Jingle Ball, but it just wasn't working out.

Miley Cyrus, on the other hand, gave a remarkably tame performance at the start of the show. Well, it was tame by Miley standards anyway. The “Wrecking Ball” singer was dressed in a festive ensemble, featuring a sequined turtle neck bikini and she twerked it out alongside a dancing Christmas tree, a dwarf in a cone-bra silver bodysuit, and backup dancers donning white leotards and reindeer antlers.

Happy Thanksgiving, dear American readers. As we understand it, it’s time to stuff your face, then kick back and enjoy the parade. In New York this meant the Macy’s Thanksgiving festivities, which included, among other things, multiple Broadway numbers and a whole host of budding young celebrities – from Ariana Grande to Fifth Harmony.

Fifth Harmony made their Thanksgiving parade debut.

MTV reports that the 5H ladies rode on the Pepperidge Farm float and sang their hit “Come Together” for the gathered crowd and the viewers at home. Earlier, the ladies had spoken to MTV about their excitement to perform during the parade, which has been a beloved Thanksgiving tradition since its advent in 1924.

Austin Mahone had been complaining of being ill for much of the week, and on Thursday, 17 October, the teen star had had too much of it and was admitted to the hospital. If this wasn't bad news enough for his fans, Mahone was also due to begin his 'MTV Artist to Watch Presents Tour' the same day he was taken into hospital, and a statement from his team have since said that the tour may have to be rescheduled for early 2014 while Austin recovers.

"Mahone was rushed to the hospital at 9 a.m. Thursday morning," a source close to the pop star told People Magazine soon after he was taken into hospital, adding, "It's unclear what the singer's condition is at this time."

Austin Mahone has been forced to cancel two performances owing to illness. The 17-year-old singer "was rushed to the hospital at 9 a.m. Thursday morning," according to a source speaking to People. 

Austin Mahone has been hospitalised and forced to cancel performances.

It is uncertain what Mahone is suffering with. Mahone, on his Twitter account, wrote on Wednesday (16th October) that he was suffering with flu. He wrote he was forced to cancel his concert on Thursday on "Doctor's orders" as he has "a bad flu, 103 fever and I can't move."

If you’re lost, Austin Mahone is a pop singer, apparently aiming for Justin Bieber-type fame – judging from his viral videos, teeny bopper musical stylings and fondness for snapbacks.

He is also a good friend of Selena’s and nothing more, according to the website’s source. The unnamed friend claims: "They're really good friends and have a lot of fun together." Good to know. The rumors started spreading after Gomez and Mahone were spotted together at Disneyland this Wednesday. Note, they were not alone, but with a group of friends. Disneyland in a large group of people doesn’t exactly sound like a romantic date, but none the less, teens and tweens everywhere assumed things.
