Chris Martin spent a staggering £400,000 on a painting.
The Coldplay frontman splashed out the huge sum for a one-of-a-kind design by famed street artist Banksy at a fundraiser for Haiti earthquake victims over the weekend.
The 36-year-old singer fought off stiff competition from Bette Midler and Kevin Bacon in order to snap up the picture a red heart-shaped balloon, which was covered in plasters, according to The Sun newspaper.
Chris attended the high-profile Haiti Home Gala, which was held by Sean Penn at the Montage hotel in Beverly Hills, with his wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
However, the musician wasn't the only celebrity whipping his money out on the night as auction host Anderson Cooper forked out a whopping 850,000 for a sculpture to be built out of 65 of Sean's old guns.
Idris Elba, Michael Douglas and Julia Roberts were also in attendence and were treated to a performance by U2, before dancing the night away until 6am the next day.
Meanwhile, Sean was sat next to his rumoured new girlfriend Charlize Theron throughout the night and the pair reportedly locked lips on more than one occasion.
The bash raised a large sum of cash for Sean's J/P Haitian Relief Organisation, which was founded in 2010, in order to provide medical care, food and water, and develop housing following the earthquake.
