Lady GaGa has been confirmed to perform on the UK version of The X Factor during next week's results show (13th November 2011). The Born This Way singer was rumoured to be appearing on the singing contest last week, but producers instead turned to former contestant Cher Lloyd, reports the UK's Metro newspaper.
The eccentric singer will be performing new single Marry the Night, with the performance rumoured to be typically theatrical. The singer has taken to the Uk X Factor stage before, performing Bad Romance in an oversized bathtub in 2009 and wearing an eye catching gold outfit. The superstar has since taken on a new wave of fame, following the record breaking release of 'Born this Way', which has already spawned numerous hit singles. After Itv news announced news of Gaga's return today, her fans immediately took to Twitter to speak of their delight, with one fan exclaiming, "Lady Gaga is performing on X Factor next weekend!!! I'M So Excited To See What She Does On Her Performance". Boy band One Direction, who fared well on last year's show, are also rumoured to be performing next Sunday, but this is unconfirmed.
'Marry the Night' was released as the fifth single from Gaga's album 'Born This Way', debuting at No. 79 on the US Billboard Hot 100, while also charting in Belgium, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
