DAVID FINCHER - TOYMAKER PLANS ELIOT NESS THRILLER

Toymaker TODD McFARLANE is branching out into movies after signing up to produce DAVID FINCHER's new film, TORSO.

The movie thriller is based on a graphic novel written by BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS and MARC ANDREYKO, which tells the true story of Treasury Department agent ELIOT NESS' life after he helped put gangster AL CAPONE behind bars.

The relatively unknown story centres around Ness after he moved to Cleveland to become the city's public safety officer, and human torsos began appearing around town with notes from a serial killer challenging the lawman to catch him.

Torso was optioned by McFarlane after a comic company he co-owns published the original graphic novel.
