Elias and Lukas are nine-year-old twins waiting for their mother to come back to their country home from hospital following intensive facial cosmetic surgery. However, she seems somewhat different on her return, bandages covering her face, brushing off their warm welcomes and barely saying a word to them. They initially reassure themselves that she is bound to be feeling a little strange after such invasive treatment, but it soon becomes clear that they are no longer living with their mother. A few terrifying glimpses confirm their suspicions and they start to browse old photo albums for clues as to who she might be, while becoming desperate to have their real mother home. When things get violent, the boys arm themselves braced for an attack, but they have no idea of the horror that lies in store for them.
